TERMS OF SERVICE

Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the service operated by Univoc Foundation, which places you into work and pays you as your employer of record.

These terms are issued by Univoc Foundation, the company operating Univoc.

Last updated: 19 June 2026

About these terms

This service is operated by Univoc Foundation ("we", "us"), a workforce company that places skilled and blue-collar workers into roles at client firms and acts as the employer of record for the workers we place.

These terms are an agreement between you and us. By creating an account, submitting an application, or otherwise using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract and to work in India.

You agree that the information you give us — your name, contact details, qualifications, work history, and documents — is true, accurate, and your own. Providing false information may cost you a placement and may end your account.

Your account

You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time passcode — there is no password. You are responsible for keeping access to your registered number and for activity on your account.

You can change your registered number from within the app, which requires verifying both your old and new numbers. If you lose access to your number, contact support so we can help you recover your account.

Using the service

Use the service only to find and apply for genuine work, to manage your placement, and to deal with us about your employment.

You agree not to: provide false, misleading, or someone else's information; apply on behalf of another person; scrape, crawl, copy, or automate access to the service; attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to our systems; or harass, abuse, or threaten our staff, employers, or other users. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

Job applications and placements

Every employer on the platform is verified by us before they can post a role. When you apply, we share your application with that employer and review it for a possible placement.

Applying does not guarantee an interview, a placement, or continued employment — those depend on the employer's decision, role availability, and your fit. We make no promise of placement.

We never charge you to apply, to be placed, or to keep a placement. We do not take deposits or training fees from workers. If anyone asks you to pay to get a job through us, it is not legitimate — do not pay, and tell us.

Stipends and payment

When you are placed, you are employed by Univoc as your employer of record, not by the firm where you physically work. We issue your offer letter, run your payroll, and pay your stipend directly into the bank account you provide.

Stipends are paid monthly on a fixed cycle. The figure shown on a listing is a gross amount; the deductions that apply depend on your employment type. For employees, statutory deductions such as your EPF and ESI share apply where the law requires. For apprentices and OJT trainees, the applicable scheme rules (for example, under the Apprentices Act / NAPS) determine whether such deductions apply — many apprentice stipends are paid without them. Your offer letter sets out the exact deduction structure for your role.

Because we are the payer, your stipend does not depend on when the client firm pays us. If a payment to you is ever late, that is our responsibility to fix — contact us at support@univoc.in and we will investigate and resolve it.

For employers and partners

Firms that hire through us do so under a separate written agreement that covers verification, service fees, billing, and conduct. Those commercial terms are governed by that agreement, not by these terms, which are written for the workers who use the service.

The company operating this service and acting as your employer of record is Univoc Foundation. Its identity is also shown at the top of this page.

Intellectual property

The platform — including its software, design, and content — belongs to its owners and licensors. You may not copy, modify, or reuse it except as needed to use the service normally.

The content you upload — your resume, documents, and cover notes — remains yours. By uploading it, you give us permission to store, display, and process it so we can place you, share your application with employers you apply to, and employ and pay you.

Suspension and closing your account

You can close your account at any time by contacting us. If you are currently placed, closing your account does not by itself end your employment — speak to us about your placement and notice.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, give false information, or misuse the service. After closure, we handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy, keeping only what the law requires us to retain.

Disclaimers and liability

We work hard to verify employers and to show accurate stipends, but the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and we cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for an employer's own conduct beyond what we verify. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including our obligation to pay you what you are owed for work you have done.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any rights you have under employment or consumer law, the courts of competent jurisdiction in India will hear disputes relating to these terms.

Before going to court, please raise any concern with us first at support@univoc.in — most issues are resolved fastest that way.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our service or the law changes. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify registered users by SMS or an in-app message before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
